N JUABEN N: NABCO recruits undergo orientation
The Municipal Coordinating Directorate of the New Juaben North Municipal Assembly has organized an orientation for recruits under the government's Nation Builder's Corp (NABCO).

The orientation organized at the New Juaben North Municipal Assembly Hall sought to prepare individual to the working environment of various organization/institutions.

NABCO is a Government programme aimed at dealing with graduate unemployment in Ghana, and was launched earlier this year by the President in Kumasi. The programme is targeted at employing some one hundred thousand (100,000) unemployed graduates in the country under various modules.

In the New Juaben North Municipal Assembly, over Two Hundred and Twenty graduates were present for the orientation.



The Municipal Chief Executive of the area, Comfort Asante, in an address congratulated the first recruits and urged them to build partnership and linkages for the establishment of unique modules.

Hon. Comfort Asante commended Government for bringing real change to the lives of Ghanaians through its innovative flagship programmes.

“You will be exposed to the fundamental practices in the organization that you were not taught in the classroom, hence the need for you to use your brains”, she added.

The Municipal Chief Executive also urged the graduates to see this as a good opportunity to exhibit a sense of maturity, and hard work that conform to the ethics of the organization.



She asked them to ensure they exhibit high levels of professionalism, and integrity and be punctual at all times.

Speaking on behalf of the Member of Parliament, the Presiding Member of New Juaben North Municipal Assembly, Hon. Asante Antwi stressed on the need for the recruits to use knowledge acquired to work professionally. He charged each and every one of them to be focused and determined to help in the success story of the various organizations they find themselves.

Also present at the function included the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr Antwi Boasiako Brobbey, Presiding Member, Asante Antwi, Municipal Information Officer, Miss Ansaah and the NABCO recruits.
