ADAKLU: Assembly, NGO team up to complete ongoing Proj
The Adaklu District Assembly has in its bid to enhance teaching and learning in the area supported Pencils of Promise, a Non-Governmental Organization with cash of GHs 20,000 to aid the completion of an ongoing classroom block at ‘Dave’, a community in the district.

This was disclosed by District Chief Executive (DCE) of the area, Mr Phanuel Donkor Kadey at the Assembly’s second session meeting last week.

The DCE, in his keynote address expressed the assembly’s readiness to partner various NGOs in the district to initiate and complete projects that are geared towards improving lives and living conditions of the people.

In a related development, Mr Donkor revealed that the Assembly has again paid full registration fees of all candidates who are due for this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE) which is slated to commence from June 4 to 8.

He disclosed that the assembly in collaboration with the District Directorate of Education is organizing vacation classes for BECE candidates in the district.

He stated that the said classes were jointly funded by the Assembly and Member of Parliament (MP) of the area, Mr Kwame Agbodza.
