Some of the items include Deep freezer refrigerators, table top fridges, hundreds of plastic chairs, knitting machines, Public address systems, fufu pounding machines and photocopier machine among many others.

Hon Gilbert Ken Asmah, Municipal Chief Executive for Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipality in his brief remarks observed Nana Akufo-Addo's commitment to bridging the gap between the disabled and non disabled citizens thereby enhancing the general wellbeing of all.

He argued that the 50% increment on the persons with disability fund in 2017 justifies his claim.

He noted, that the government has created a special account where the Disability fund is transferred into at source so as not to conflict with the Assemblies funds.

"My administration shall continue to expand and enhance our engagement with the Disability fraternity for an improved lifestyle devoid of stigmatisation as it was in the past", he added.

In his submission, the Western regional Chairman for the Ghana Society of the Physically Challenged expressed gratitude to the New Patriotic Party government for giving special recognition to the disabled fraternity especially the 50% increment in their funds.

He argued that in the erstwhile government the funds were not forthcoming and more so there were delays and at times less payment.
