Akufo-Addo releases list of Ministers to form his second Gov't

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has released a list of Ministers and Regional Ministers-designate to head various ministries and all sixteen regions in his second term of office.

The list however, require Parliament's Prior approval, through the Speaker, Rt. Hon Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin.

A statement signed and issued by the Ag Director of Communications at the Presidency Eugene Arhin, read: “the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has submitted to Parliament for the Prior approval, through the Speaker, Rt. Hon Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, the names of the following persons for appointment in his new government.”

“President Akufo-Addo is hopeful that Parliament will see to the prompt approval of his nominees, so they can assist in the delivery of his mandate for his second term in office, the statement continued.

Meanwhile, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Okere, Mr. Dan Botwe has been appointed Ghana’s new Minister of Local Government and Rural Development.

Mr Botwe replaces Hajia Alima Mahama, who served in same capacity as Minister in President Akufo-Addo’s first government.
