B5plus steel manufacturing plant commissioned in Lakpleku under 1D1F
The B5plus Company has officially commissioned its steel manufacturing plant in Lakpleku in the Ningo Prampram District under the flagship programme ‘One District One Factory (1D1F)’.

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, the Minister of Trade and Industry, Mr. Alan John Kojo Kyeremanteng lauded the chairman of B5plus for investing in Ghana and creating jobs for the youth. He stated that the objective of the One District One Factory (1D1F) is to decentralize economic activities to the rural communities and ease economic congestion in the major cities.

The minister added that, it is significant for Ghana to move beyond aid and must therefore tap into other sources of capital acquisition that would industrialize and develop the country.



He noted that government has introduced tax incentives to investors under 1D1F initiative to attract investors.” Currently government has granted all 1D1F investors several tax incentives such as 5year tax holiday, exemption from local taxes and levies, duty free importation of raw materials, machinery and equipment. Investors are also exempted from the payment of withholding taxes’ he said.

The Indian High Commissioner in Ghana, Birender Singh Yadav, also commended B5plus and all the Indian companies in Ghana for contributing significantly to economic growth in Ghana. He assured government of mutual benefits whilst promoting industrialization in Ghana.



The chairman for B5plus, Mukesh Takwani expressed his gratitude to the government and promised to construct a police post for the Lakpleku community. He then assured the government of his continues contribution to industrialization, education and other sectors in the country.
