Underscoring the essence of education in nation building; the DCE noted that, it was for this reason that government is fully committed to putting up adequate classroom blocks to help mitigate the infrastructural deficit in the education sector.

He urged parents to complement government’s efforts by sending their children to school to acquire formal education and also provide them with the necessary materials such as books to make learning simple and understanding.

The DCE, who was speaking at this year’s Ghana @ 61 Anniversary celebrations further promised his support to better the educational sector in the District.

As a sign to demonstrate his support for education, the DCE seized the occasion to award Certificate, books and school bags to some best performed female and male candidates who sat for last year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in the area.

Meanwhile, Present at the ceremony was the Member of Parliament for the area, Mr Muniru Aziz and the Chiefs and Queen Mothers in the area.
