The Association presented a fridge and a citation to the school.

At a short ceremony to present the items, Obrempong Kwesi Amoh Kyeretwie I, the President of the Association and the chief of Abirem, said the school since 2015 has recorded a remarkable improvement in its academic performances at the BECE level and needed to be rewarded.

He said the school registered seven candidates for the 2017 BECE and the best student emerging with aggregate 10 and the worse student registering aggregate 15.

In view of this, he said, the Association saw the need to reward the school for its achievements to spur other schools to sit up in the effort to improve quality education in the district.

Obrempong Amoh Kyeretwie I said the school, established in 1979 with only a three- unit classroom, can now boast of a six- units classroom block with ancillary facilities, an ICT laboratory and three separate teachers' quarters.

He urged students not to underrate the environment in which they find themselves but rather persevere in their education and forge ahead to make it in life.

Receiving the items on behalf of the school, Mr Kingsley Odei Yeboah, the Assistant Head-teacher of the school, thanked the association for the honour and promised to ensure that the school would maintain its position on the BECE league table in the district.
