Chiefs pledges support for Berekum West DCE
The Chiefs in the Berekum West District (BWDA) of the Brong Ahafo Region have pledged their unflinching support for the newly confirmed District Chief Executive (DCE) in the area, Mr. Isaac Osei.

The essence is to partner him bring socio-economic development to the newly created district.

The chiefs made the pledge at separate meetings when the DCE paid a courtesy call on them at their palaces at Ayimom, Jinijini and Abi in the district.

Nana Tutu Baffour Asare II, the chief of Jinijini assured the DCE on his courtesy call, his fullest support and said his doors are opened for consultation and any assistance that the DCE and the Assembly may need. Nana Taah Senti, Chief of Abi, urged him to be honest in his dealings to bring honour to his people.

Addressing the chiefs, the DCE said his familiarization tour was to introduce himself to the chiefs as the new DCE and express his heartfelt gratitude to them for the support accorded him during his nomination, confirmation and swearing into office.

“I have come here today to seek your blessings and to ask for your support and cooperation to enable me and my officers to discharge of our duties.” He said.

The DCE used the occasion to outline his visions and plans to bring development to the district. He cited the leveling and maintenance of roads across the district. He noted that poor road network is a challenge across the district and per the needs assessment of the people in the district.

He said addressing it will go a long way to improve on the socio-economic development of the district. He encouraged the people to honour their tax obligations to the assembly to accelerate the development of the district.
