Aowin MCE presents Nissan Pick-up toAgric Department
As part of government’s program to make agriculture attractive to all, most especially to the teaming youth, the Ministry of Food and Agriculture has introduced a module called planting for food and Jobs.

The Ministry through this module has provided seedlings and other inputs such as fertilizers at reduced rates of 50 percent cost to farmers.

The farmers were allowed to pay 25 percent of the seedlings and inputs and pay the remaining 25 percent after harvest.



And so, in pursuant to making positive inroads with the programme, the Ministry of Agriculture has provided new Nissan Pick-ups the Department of Food and Agriculture of 216 Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies.

The vehicles are primarily to aid effective monitoring and supervision to help achieve set goals under the programme.



Making the presentation to the Department of food and Agriculture in the Aowin Municipality, the Municipal Chief Executive, Mr Samuel Adu-Gyamfi said, government intended purpose for introducing planting for food and Jobs was to enable the country produce enough food for consumption and export the remaining for foreign exchange and also create jobs for all most especially the youth.



He advised the Department of food and Agriculture to use the car for the intended purpose.
