SISSALA E: Dimajan gets new chps centre

The Sissala East Municipal Assembly led by the Municipal Chief Executive, Mr. Nanyua Karim and some officials of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) have commissioned a Community-Based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) centre at Dimajan, a community in the Sissala East Municipality.

The gesture was to help promote quality health delivery for the people of Dimajan and its surroundings communities.

In an interview with Ghanadistricts.com, the Municipal Chief Executive said the wellbeing of the people remained a major concern to him and the entire Assembly pledges to liaise with other corporate bodies to furnish the facility to meet the needs of patients who would visit the facility.

He said the traditional authorities of the community have put in place measures to ensure the provision of a police station and a post office for the people in the community to help bring development to the area.

The MCE commended the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the volunteering services of some community members, calling on others to follow the gesture.

He entreated the people to treasure the facility and maintain it to continue to serve them for a long time.

Mr Karim urged the people to continue to maintain good personal hygiene and cleanliness to avert disease outbreaks in the area and also advised the people to visit the facility regularly to check their health status.
