His appeal is to help reduce the congestion situations in the two schools namely; the Krachi Senior High School (KRASEC), and Krachi Senior High Technical School (KRASTECH).

Hon. Douglas speaking to Ghanadistricts.com in an interview said before the introduction of the Free Senior High School policy, the population of Krasec was 600 and Krastech was 500 but the population of the schools have ballooned to 1500 and 1000 respectively after the implementation of the Free Senior High School.

This, he noted resulted in congestion situation in the schools, adding, one of the classroom blocks at the Krachi Senior High School has been converted into a girls dormitory. As a result of that, there is a problem of classroom block as well.

He added that Krastech used to be a day school but with the inception of the Free Senior High policy, the school is now running on a boarding status.

Out of that most of the students are living in a rented accommodation since the school cannot accommodate a large number of students.

He said even the intervention by the Word Vision International, a non-governmental organization that built a one dormitory block for the Krastech boys still could not completely salvaged the situation.
