In a statement signed by the General Secretary of the Association, Kokro Amankwah, NALAG noted that it is their belief that the continuous stay of these children on the streets is not only detrimental to their health and wellbeing but also affects the country’s reputation and the quest to give meaning to the Charter on the rights of a child and the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which stress on No Hunger, No Poverty, Good Health and wellbeing of the people and quality education.

“NALAG would like to congratulate the A.M.A Mayor and would encourage other Assemblies to emulate this positive gesture”, the statement indicated.
