”Let take advantage of Tourist Sites in Kwahu” - DCE

The District Chief Executive for Kwahu East Mr. Isaac Agyapong has tasked Ghanaian and especially Kwahu residents to collaborate with the government to promote domestic tourism vigorously to the benefit of all Ghanaians.

He noted that with the District Assemblies as the custodians of tourist sites, they are the primary beneficiaries of any dividends that accrue from such efforts.

Mr. Agyapong made this assertion during the 2018 World Tourism Day celebration which was held on Thursday 27th September, 2018 at Kwahu Abetifi under the theme: Tourism and Digital Transformation.

He said, Kwahu area can boost of some of the best natural and cultural attractions that can attract international and local tourists.

“We know that this year’s celebration is going to be a vehicle for promoting local tourism by highlighting the need to promote tourism through Digitization on the sector” He said.

He observed that promotion of tourism, culture and creative arts is a shared responsibility that requires the concerted efforts of all stakeholders – policy makers, private sector, traditional authorities among others.
