1D1F: Govt to revive dormant Mango, Pineapple Pack House at Anfoega
The District Chief Executive (DCE) of North Dayi in the Volta region, Mr Kudjo Edmund Attah, has reiterated the government’s firm commitment to ensure the establishment of one factory in each district.

According to him, the NPP government under the leadership of H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo seeks to address the problem of unemployment and ensure improvement in the economic sector by undertaking a massive industrialization campaign across the country, which will equip and empower communities to utilize their local resources in manufacturing products that are in high demand both locally and internationally.

The DCE stated this at a recently town hall meeting held at Anfoega, the district capital.

In his key note address, the DCE revealed that the one district, one factory (1D1F) department in the district has identified the district’s potentials and advantage in an already existing facility that can easily be turned the realization of the policy.

He further disclosed that the department has identified a mongo and pineapple packaging facility that is currently underutilized. He assured that the now dormant facility will soon be revived by the government and expanded into a processing facility.

He added that, feasibility study on the proposal has been concluded with actual work on the facility expected to commence soon.

The DCE was buoyant that the facility will help create jobs for the youth through the out grower scheme and factory hand to ease current unemployment situation in the area.

He therefore called on all stakeholders to rally behind the 1D1F policy by the NPP government to make it a success.
