W MAMPRUSI: RM hands over site for new senior high school

The North East Regional Minister, Solomon Boar has handed over the site for the commencement of construction works for a new senior high school at Kpasenkpe in the West Mamprusi Municipal in the North East region to the contractors and consultant of the project.

The move forms part of the government's commitment to open up access to allow for more prospective students to enjoy the Free Senior High School Education to foster development.

Facilities to be constructed as part of the project would include an administrative block, science block, 2-storey dormitory block, 3-storey dormitory block, and a library. An Assembly Hall, Staff Flats, Dining Hall with Kitchen, Principal and Vice principal residences as well.

Mr Solomon Boar who is also the Member of Parliament for Bunkpurugu addressing the gathering at the sod cutting, and handing over ceremony highlighted the importance of this project to the Kpasenkpe community, pointing out to the jobs this would bring to the people and the transformation alike upon the completion and full use of the school.

He introduced the contractors and the consultant of the project to the people and urge them to complete the project in time for commissioning and use before December 2020 as per the contract.

The MP later inspected the progress of work of the Zipline drone project in Walewale, a project which aims to improve the health system in the region and its environs by making readily available blood to patients upon the request of health facilities in the region through the drone system.

Mr Solomon Boar (MP) again urged the contractors and the implementation team to finish on time to get it operationalised in December, as this would go a long way to resolving the problems in the accessing and supply of blood which often results to complications and sometimes death of patients who are in need of them but unavailable in our health facilities.
