ATWIMA K: Ghana Aids Commission urged to improve efforts to reduce AIDS
The District Chief Executive of the Atwima Kwanwoma District, Nana Okyere Tawiah Antwi has called on the Ghana Aids Commission and other relevant stakeholders to double their efforts in the campaign against the spread of the virus in the country.

According to him, there is alarming rate of spread of the virus among the youth in the country and something ought to be done within the shortest possible time to curtail the spread of the canker.



He continued that, in recent times the activities of the Ghana Aids Commission has really gone down and they must employ all means necessary to get it sustained to minimize the spread of the disease.

He stated this during the inauguration of a 2-units workshop block and a sod cutting for the construction of 10-units classroom block at Twedie Integrated Community Center for Employable Skills --ICCES.



The National Director for ICCES, Mr David Mensah applauded the government for its initiative to extend the free senior high school policy to the technical schools in the country but added that the government should not forget there are huge challenges to be tackled to ensure success of its implementation.

Mr Alexander Addai from the Twedie ICCES center enumerated the achievements of the school so far through some philanthropist and other stakeholders and went further to mention other hurdles confronting the center that needs to be addressed as time progresses.
