DCE for Offinso North urges NABCO personnel to be law abiding

One of the good and historic policies by New Patriotic Party government headed by H.E. President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo is helping unemployed graduates from the Universities, Polytechnics, Diploma Institutions to get job under a program dubbed: Nation Builders Corps (NABCO)

The programme is aimed at providing jobs for the youth especially in areas of Education, Health, Sanitation, Revenue Mobilization and other modules nationwide.

In the Offinso North District Assembly in the Ashanti Region led by the dynamic and hardworking District Chief Executive, David Kwasi Asare Boakye, supported by the District Coordinating Director, Mr Charles K. Opoku have successfully held orientation for 148 NABCO personnels at Akomadan to enhance their knowledge on the job to be effective and efficient in the discharge of their duties.

Addressing the 1st batch of the NABCO personnel, Mr. David Kwasi Asare Boakye tasked them to be law abiding, disciplined and respect the authorities by exhibiting law of secrecy at the job place to ensure maturity and cohesion to achieved good results.

On the part of those Edu-Teachers who are to teach in the villages, he cautioned them not to be sleeping with the school children as anyone found would be penalized. He said they should rather serve as good role model for the children to emulate.

He further encouraged them to be serious as after the 3 years expiration contract those who excelled could be maintained by some of the Assemblies.

On his advice on escalating rate of hard drugs by the youth, the DCE implored them to avoid peer pressure and say no to hard drugs like: tramadol, marijuana, cocaine among others that impinges the youth and eventually poses harm to the societal development.

He said together with Hon A.C. Ntim, Deputy Minister for Local Government & Rural Development who is also MP for Offinso North Constituency, they would be going round to monitor the activities of NABCO with the officers and those who deserve support and rewards would be given as the Offinso North District is on the path of increased development to help the people.
