TAIN: Seikwa Health Centre to get maternity block

Madam Charity Akua Foriwaa Dwommoh, District Chief Executive for Tain in the Brong Ahafo region has cut for the construction of maternity unit for the Seikwa health centre as part of efforts to address the problem of inadequate maternity related problem in the area.

The unit which is planned to be completed in six months’ time will help improve maternity related issues which usually results in death among women and children who visit the health centre for medical care.

The DCE indicated that she was particularly happy because she feels confident that when the project is completed, it will save many lives.

According to her, maternal health is essential to ensure the health of children and the family as a whole yet many mothers suffer from lack of access to health, related problems in maternal as well as the quality of care at delivery.

She urged the citizenry to support a course towards providing quality health care.

Nana Kwadwo Wiafe, Ankobeahene of Seikwa Traditional Council appreciated the numerous the area has benefited from during the tenure of the District Chief Executive and urged all the support the project.
