WENCHI: Assembly Members receive motorbikes
In line with the government’s resolve to deepen decentralization process and local governance, 43 assembly members in the Wenchi Municipality of the Bono Region have received Motors to enable them discharge their civic duties as mandated by the local governance act.

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Honorable Dr Prince Kwakye Afiriyie on Tuesday May14, 2019 on behalf of government presented the bikes to the Presiding Member of the Assembly, Honorable Samuel Mensah who later distributed them to his colleagues.
The MCE advised the Honorable Members to use the motor bikes for the purpose for which they were given to facilitate the development of the municipality.
Honorable Dr Prince Kwakye Afiriyie also thanked technocrats in the Wenchi Municipal Assembly for their commitment, dedication and sacrifice and expressed the hope that they will continue with that spirit in the coming years.
The Presiding Member, Honorable Samuel Mensah handing over the keys to the Assembly members and commended the government for its commitment to resource the Assembly and also making the assembly members mobile to discharge their duties effectively.
He urged the Honorable Members to be careful in using the Motor bikes and moreover abide all road traffic regulations.
Hon. Mensah further commended the Minister for Planning Hon. Prof. George Gyan Baffour, MP Wenchi, and the MCE Hon. Dr. Prince Kwakye Afriyie for their support giving to the Assembly over the years.
