Mayor commissions sanitation facilities for Senior High Schools in Tema Metropolis

The provision enhanced sanitation infrastructure at all levels of our educational Institutions form an integral part of Mayor Yohane Amarh Ashitey’s agenda to make Tema Shine again.

As part of his routine tour of the Metropolis, Mayor Ashitey commissioned completed projects at four different locations spread across Senior High Schools in Tema Metropolis.

He visited Our Lady of Mercy Senior High School (SHS), Chemu Senior High School, Tema Technical Institute and Manhean Sec/Technical School.

These institutions have all benefited from the provision of facilities that will enhance health and safety. Speaking at a short ceremony,the Mayor said it will also instill in them the habit of freely using toilets while reducing the outbreak of disease and infection in schools.

''If we are not able to undertake major projects in the metropolis little things such as providing sanitation facilities must be tackled. That’s why we asked GAMA to intervene in this action." he added.

The Headmasters of the various beneficiary Schools received the keys to the facilities with gladness and expressed gratitude for the intervention and pledged to maintain the facilities.

In attendance were the Presiding Member, Engineer Consultant, GAMA Coordinators, and Assembly members amongst others.
