C GONJA: DCE donates theater equipment, machines to Buipe Polyclinic
The District Chief Executive for the Central Gonja District, Mahama Mustapha has on behalf of the Assembly donated theater equipment and machines to the Buipe Hospital.

These equipment and machines which cost the Assembly more than One Hundred and Forty Thousand Ghana cedis (GH¢140,000.00) were procured through the Assembly's Internal Generated Funds (IGF).



The equipment include;
1. Five Laporatomy sets
2. Five Delivery sets
3. Five Hernia sets
4. One Gynecology Aspirator
5. Five Mayor Trolleys

The machines are
1. Two Suction machines
2. One Oxygen Concentrator machine
3. One Anaesthetic machine
4. One Octoclave machine
5. Theatre Operation Lamp
6. Analgesia machine among others.

In a handing over ceremony, Mr Mahama Mustapha challenged the hospital to put the machines into proper use for the benefit of people in the district and beyond.



He observed that the Buipe hospital deserves the equipment and machines hence his office committing such huge sums of its revenue to procure them. He urged the people to stop managing illness in the communities but rather report early to the hospital to seek proper medical attention.

Receiving the items on behalf of the health directorate, Dr Naizer Hussein the Medical Superintendent of the hospital thanked the District Chief Executive and for that matter the Central Gonja District Assembly for the huge investment at the hospital. He promised to put the facilities into good use.



Dr Naizer Hussein added that his work will surely be enhanced as he was risking without these quality machinery in carrying out operations.

According to him, he successfully carried out the following operations without the machinery even though under heavy heart; Tendon repairs, Hydrocelectomy, Herniorropoly, Articulation, Syprapribid systestory among others.
