Ho West district initiates 1P1F
The Ho West District Assembly in the Volta Region together with the Ministry of Information yesterday held its fifth Town Hall meeting for the year with a promise to cultivate a Royal Farm for each of the sixteen paramouncies in the district.

"All 16 Paramount Chiefs in this District will benefit from a stool farms in 2019, each Paramount Chief would be assisted with free seedlings and other inputs to cultivate either cocoa, cashew, oil palm, coffee or citrus in the districts one Paramouncy one Farm (1P1F) agenda".

This was contained in the address delivered by the District Chief Executive Ernest Victor Apau during the 5th town meeting for the year held in the Global Evangelical Church at Abutia.

The DCE stated that "each paramount chief will receive about five hectares farm minimum in the newly introduced programme which will go a long way to support the Royals in their activities, these farms I believe will help all of us as it will help support the climate change, serve as exportable crop, and could feed the government introduced one district one factory programme which Ho West is not left out.

The DCE then highlights on some projects initiated by the assembly, revealing that "the District Assembly has been able to finance six projects under the Infrastructure for Poverty Eradication Project (IPEP) through the one million per constituency policy initiated by the Akufo Addo's government and these projects are; three toilet facilities with mechanized boreholes, water reservoir and a solar power for the Kpedze Senior High School, Avatime Senior High School and the Abutia Senior High Technical School".

"We have also under the same project constructed three mechanized boleholes with water reservoir and Solar power at Kpedze Clinic, Abutia Wakpo and Abutia Ameva", he added

The development oriented DCE as described by the overcrowded participants did not hesitate to use the opportunity to invite the people of the district to a handing over ceremony to be held in November for finished projects to their beneficiary communities which include 2-unit kindergarten block at Honuta, a CHPS compound at Anyirawase, and two CHPS compounds at Luvudo.

He also observed that nine other projects from the Social Investment Fund (SIF) and the District Assembly Common Fund (DACF) counterpart funded projects are ready awaiting handing over before December this year.

The said projects are 6-units classroom with school furniture at Tsito Methodist School, Nurses’ bungalow at Kpoeta, Ashanti and Abutia Kisifli, Teachers’ Bungalow at Anfoeta Gbogame, Mechanized boreholes with water reservoir at Dzolo Gbogame, a Health Center block with nurses’ quarters and a mechanised borehole at Vanu and a bridge at Abutia Agotive", he indicated.

The program which is to report, inform and educate the citizens on government policies and account to the people the state of the District Assembly saw the participation of the Deputy Minister for Information, Pious Enam Hadzide explaining policies introduced by government and its benefits to the ordinary citizens of Ghana which includes the most applauded Free Senior High School, one district, one factory, one million dollar per Constituency, and planting for food and jobs.

The rest are planting for export, the Nation Builders Corps which has recruited some 100,000 unemployed graduate among others saying: "most of these projects have been rolled out which he believes will go a long way to transform the country in the shortest possible time.

All we need is to rally our support behind the President Nana Akufo Addo to lead us to the promise land".


The DCE then ceased the opportunity to encourage the public to continue having faith in the NPP government for excellent service delivery.
