Ga south municipal adjudged best performing assembly on IGF
The Ga South Municipal Assembly has been adjudged the best performing Assembly on Internal Generated Fund (IGF) innovation beating Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly, Ho Municipal, Suhum Municipal, Kwabre East Assemblies at the 4th local Government Service (LGS) bi-annual Professional Conference held at Ho in the Volta Region of Ghana.

The Three-day conference which brought together over 400 professional staff of the LGS from Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) across the country was on the theme: “Transforming Local Government Service through Effective Leadership.”
The Head of the Office of the Local Government Service, Dr Nana Ato Arthur, in his address said, the conference was aimed at improving four thematic areas, namely Innovation and Revenue mobilization, Sanitation, Local Economic Development and Workplace Environment.
Some dignitaries who graced the occasion were Mr. Yaw Osafo-Marfo, the senior Minister, Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Hajia Alima Mahama, former Rector of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration, Professor Stephen Adei, the Volta Regional Minister, Dr Archibald Yao Letsa, Vice Chancellor of the University of Health and Allied Sciences, Professor John Owusu etc.
