N JUABEN N: Assembly inspects Jumapo Market

The Municipal Chief Executive of New Juaben North, Comfort Asante led a delegation of contractors, Assembly members, engineers and some heads of departments as well as stakeholders to inspect the market at Jumapo in the New Juaben North Municipality.

Madam Comfort Asante, in an address thanked the market Women for their hard work and encouraged them to take their wards’ education seriously, since it is the main reason they toil day and night.

The MCE assured the Market women of the Assembly’s intention to renovate the entire market, uplifting its face to meet the status of a Municipal Market.

The Municipal Engineer Mr. Kofi Anim outlined a number of defects around the structures in the markets including the replacement of the roofing, as well as the expansion of the exit gate.

The Assemblyman for Odwaa Electoral Area, Oti Akenten Ernest said that, it was essential for the renovation because it is the biggest market in the Municipality.

He also thanked the Assembly for her initiative and admonished the users of the facility to keep the place tidy in order to attract buyers.
