District Chief Executive for the area, Mr Charles Oware -Tweneboah, disclosed to Ghanadistricts.com that contracts for various improvement works on some selected feeder roads in the district have been awarded.

These works, he noted will include re-grading/shaping and routine maintenance.

Among the roads awarded on contracts include Addokrom - Brako (27.50 Km), Ahomahomasu – Amotare (22.80 Km), Otuater – Amotare ( 27.90 Km), Abuorso – Tadieso (21. 40 Km), Obooho – Abourso Road (14.3 km), Grading of Begoro – Fiyiase ( 14.0 km) Begoro – Bosuso ( 6.0km), Grading of Begoro Town Roads ( 5.0km).

There has also been construction of five speed rumps at Nsutem Junction popularly called Bunsu junction; and this has reduced the rate of accidents happening on that stretch.

The Begoro Township roads have so far received some improvements including reshaping and filling of potholes on the Begoro District Hospital Road, among other equally busy roads in the district capital to enhance vehicular and pedestrians’ movement.

He is hopeful that outstanding roads will also see the light of day.
