Ahafo RM, Parliamentary Select Committee inspect site for recycling, compositing Plant
The Ahafo Regional Minister, George Boakye joined members of the Parliamentary Select Committees for Environment, Finance and Local Government to inspect the progress of work for the ongoing construction of the Integrated Recycling and Compositing Plant – IRECOP at Goaso.

The factory, under the 1D1F is being constructed by Zoomlion Ghana Limited.

The Minister, George Boakye in welcoming the Members of Parliament took time to explain the benefits of the project to the economy of Ahafo noting that the factory if completed will create over two thousand direct and indirect jobs.

He added that the project will help alleviate the sanitation plight of the Ahafo Region in diverse ways.

Moreover, the company will help boost Agricultural practices in the Region since the fertilizer that will be produced will go to the farmers at a very cheaper cost.



Leader of the Parliamentary select committees Hon. Emmanuel Akwasi Gyamfi, on behalf of the Members of Parliament expressed profound gratitude to the Minister for giving him and his team a warm reception into the Ahafo Region.

The Honourable Member declared Parliament's full support for the project and underscored the numerous benefits it will inject into the Economy of Ahafo and the Country as a whole.

He, therefore, urged the contractor to expedite work on the project in order to meet the deadline for completion.
