His statement comes on the back of recent armed robbery and murder cases witnessed in most parts of the country.

The DCE was speaking at this year’s 61st Independence Day anniversary at Manso Amenfi. This year’s celebration was on the Theme: “Ghana beyond Aid”.

Addressing a cross section of students and security personnel in the area, the DCE stated that: "Ghana have all the resources to develop, we have diamond, gold, cocoa, timber and oil, it's lift with public and private officials to manage the resources well and do away with corruption".

He assured that the government was working tirelessly to ensure that these resources are put into proper use for the benefit of the entire population.

Ghana beyond Aid is a popular mantra by the Akufo-Addo led administration to help build a Ghana which appears to the use of its own resources; build an economy that is not dependent on charity and handouts, but an economy that will look at the proper management of its resources as the way to engineer social and economic growth in our country.
