The regular dredging of drains which is an aspect of waste and environmental sanitation management coupled with other equally important activities has distinguished the Krowor Municipality leading to its being adjudged the 2nd best in sanitation at the National District Awards in 2022.

Desilting has been a regular feature in their activities leading to almost all gutters being freed from materials that will prevent free flow of water through them.

He said this year promises not to be different as the Assembly is not about to relinquish its feats in sanitation to any other not necessary for the awards but most importantly for the welfare of the people.

In view of this MCE and his team of Engineers on Friday, March 17, 2023 started desilting of the 400 meters drains from the Royal Park - Asanco Junction to the Coldstore Junction on the Nungua Beach Drive in readiness for the incoming rains.

Mr. Bortey affirmed that the two major drains in the Municipality, Oko and Atee, Sango and Blekese will receive attention by way of dredging before the rains come starting from Okpoi Gonno through Maritime University and into the sea.
