Lower Manya Krobo Assembly supports PWDs

The Lower Manya Krobo Municipal Assembly has supported seventy (70) persons with disability (PWDs) with income-generation items worth Eighty Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHC80, 000.00) with its share of the Disability Fund at Odumasi-Krobo.

The beneficiaries benefited from various support schemes and packages which include deep freezers, sewing machines, farming tools and inputs, hairdryers and accessories, barbering tools and accessories, credit cards, goats for rearing, foodstuff and charcoal.

Mr. Simon Kweku Tetteh Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) speaking in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com stated that, the assembly received Gh153,744.89 as its share of the Disability Fund on the new policy on the utilization of the Fund.

He said, over 50 PWDs who registered in the Assembly would be equipped with economic and business ventures with business tools, adding that ten percent is reserved for school fees and training while another ten percent had been reserved for medical assistance.

He therefore appealed to other applicants to exercise patience as the fund management committee is working hard to have them approved.
