Former MMDCEs urge Mahama to declare political intention early
Former Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) in the previous National Democratic Congress (NDC) government have urged the former President John Mahama to declare early his political intention towards the 2020 Presidential election.

And further appealed to him to make himself available for further services to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) party and urged party members to put their hands on deck to ensure victory for the party in 2020.

The former MMDCEs made these remarks in a communiqué at their first conference in Accra as a way of strategizing to reorganize and ensure victory for the NDC in the 2020 Presidential and Parliamentary elections.



The conference brought together MMDCEs from 1992 to 2000 and 2008 to 2016 and resolves to bring to bear their past experience to the service of the party to ensure victory for the opposition NDC in 2020.

At the party level they call for representation at the Nation Executive Committee (NEC) and the Functional Executive Committee (FEC).

And added that they have noticed with concern the inability of the current government to better the lot of Ghanaians and engage in wanton dissipation of the state resource under leadership of the President Nana Akufo-Addo.
