Candidates write BECE in New Juaben North municipality
One Thousand Two Hundred and Twelve (1212) Candidates from 103 basic schools in the New Juaben North District in the Eastern Region on Monday commenced this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

The candidates from 61 public and 45 private schools, made up of 552 males and 660 females sat for this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination.

After touring all the exams centers, three candidates were recorded absent.


The Municipal Chief Executive, Comfort Asante, Madam Beverly Bathels, the Municipal Education Director together with other officials of the Ghana Education Service visited the centres within the Municipality to encourage candidates to give off their best.

Comfort Asante advised them not to indulge in examination malpractices but rather abide by all the rules covering the BECE.


She said the Presidency, Ghana Education Service and above all Ghanaians are with believe that candidates participating in the ongoing B.E.C.E will pass their exams well and benefit from the Free SHS policy

She also opined them to put on their nose mask very well and also observe other safety protocols.


Madam Beverly encouraged the students to be confident instead of entertaining fear and relying on ‘apor’ to write the exams. “You are the future leaders of this country and your journey to greatness and a successful life begins now so make the most of it,” She stressed.
