Asunafo N: NHIS receives ultra-modern card printers

Asunafo North National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) has taken delivery of two ultra modern NHIS card printers to help improve service delivery and also to curb the no ‘’No Printer Syndrome’’.

In all, about NHIS 46 card printers are expected to be distributed across the Brong Ahafo region.

Presenting the printers on behalf of the Regional Minister and the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the area, Presiding Member (PM) for the Asunafo North Municipal Assembly, Mr Jones Afiriyie Anto expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the duo for working tirelessly to bring quality healthcare to the people.

He ceased the opportunity to also inform the officials of the scheme that, the Akufo-Addo led NPP government has paid a huge chunk of the inherited NHIS debt owed to service providers across the country.

According to him, the payment is expected to help revive and strengthen the scheme and remove to cash and carry system in the health delivery system.

The subscribers who were present expressed their excitement for seeing the card printers.

Meanwhile, also present was the Asunafo North the constituency chairman of the NPP, Mr Henry Agyapong Prempeh.
