Bunkpurugu-Nakpanduri Football Association Inaugurated
The District Chief Executive of Bunkpurugu Nakpanduri, Mr. Joseph Louknaan has for the first time inaugurated a District football Association in the District.

The DCE led the Northern Regional Chairman for Football Association, Alhaji Abu Hassan Rhyzo who doubles as a Committee member for the Ghana Black Satellites team, Mohammed Tahiru, Regional division two Committee Chairman, Coach Alhassan Yakubu Daewoo and Moses the East Gonja Municipal Football Association Chairman to the Bunkpurugu chief palace to pay homage.

The Paramount Chief of Bunkpurugu Traditional area Alhaji Abuba Nasingmong pledged his unflinching support towards the Association. He added that he has already given out a portion of land for the purpose of sports development.



He appealed to the Football Association’s Regional Chairman to liaise with high authorities especially the Ministry of Youth Sports to develop it into an Astro turf or a decent football field.

The Association Chairman of the District testified that demarcation has already been done.

The Regional Football Association chairman Alhaji Abu Hassan Rhyzo swore in the committee members for division two, juvenile, ladies football Associations and the Referees Association.

He finally handed over a football, two trophies and a cash of 400ghc to support their activities.

‘’Today was a remarkable day in the history of the Bunkpurugu-Nakpanduri District about how important it is to have a football Association in the District and also assured the FA that he is ever ready to provide enabling environment and available resources to support them in anyway as sports is an activity that brings people together and promote peace and unity in every expects of human endeavor.’’ The DCE stated.

He also admonished the association to be much disciplined in their activities so that the association can keep on functioning well. He said he will work to facilitate for the FA to get an office for the District secretariat.
