PoP pays courtesy call on RCC as they Celebrate 10th Anniversary
The District Chief Executive (DCE) of Afadzato South, Mr. Etornam James Flolu received the Chief Executive officer (CEO) and management of Pencils of Promise (PoP) a Non- Governmental Organisation (NGO) on behalf of the Regional Minister, Dr. Yaw Letsa as they celebrate their 10th Anniversary.

Pencils of Promise (PoP) is a well-known  organisation doing extremely well in the Volta, Eastern and Oti Regions respectively and complementing the efforts of the Government in providing access to education as well as improving learning outcomes at the basic level.


The organisation in its 10 years of existence has constructed a great number of classroom blocks with ancillary facilities, provided over 1,000 e-readers to pupils, facilitated in-service training for many teachers and provided facilities in the areas of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene.

Mr. Flolu assured the visitors of continuity in the collaboration that exists between Pencils of Promise, the Volta Regional Co-ordinating Council and the District Assemblies in order to meet the needs of more schools.


He also recommended the Volta Region to the CEO as an investment destination in case any of the partners of PoP have business interests and wish to invest in Ghana.

The Management Members who accompanied the CEO were Dr. Christopher Stanfill, Managing Director, Strategic Initiatives, Mr. Freeman Gobah, Country Director, Ghana, Mr. Laoxayda Khammany, Country Director, Laos and Ms. Lanoy Keosuvan, Co Country Director, Laos.
