Ejura-Sekyedumase wins 5 trophies in inter-district sports competition
The Municipal Chief Executive of the Ejura-Sekyedumase, Mohammed Bawa Braimah has commended the Municipal Director of Education Mr. J. K. Appiah for the positive changes he has brought to the sector in the municipality, adding that ever since he assumed office, he has done a lot to raise the level of education in the municipality.

He was proud that his leadership has made it possible that together they were able to uplift the abysmal performance in the BECE having achieved 99.2 from as low as 47%.

The MCE was addressing a delegation from the Municipal Education Directorate who visited him to present trophies won at this year’s inter-district sports competition.

The Municipality won 5 trophies out of 11 in various discipline and the MCE said the achievement was unprecedented and thus was grateful to officials who handled the sports men and women from the municipality to make the municipality proud.

He advised that the sports men and women should be motivated and helped to take their sporting disciplines seriously to propel them to greater heights since that can become their profession.

The MCE was confident the coming years will be better and urged them to inspire and put the necessary measures in place to achieve that.

The Municipal Director of Education, Mr. J. K. Appiah also noted that 34 of their sportsmen and women were also selected to be part of the regional team which attests to the kind of personal performance they exhibited at the tournament.

He was also grateful for the financial and other supports from the Assembly that made their participation possible and resulting in this enviable achievement.
