The drain has a 6 feet width which will be able to collect huge volumes of water thereby averting the flood situations in that area.

The Member of Parliament (MP)for the Weija-Gbawe Constituency and Deputy Minister for Health, Hon Tina Naa Ayele Mensah, in one of her interactions with the community, promised to push for the storm drain to be constructed to avert the perennial problem of flooding there.

The Ministry of Works and Housing is spearheading the project, with support from the Municipal Assembly.

The engineer in charge, took the MCE and his team round the construction site to inspect work going on.

Hon Patrick Kumor expressed satisfaction at preparations towards the project and reiterated the need to make sure we have value for money.
