Similar donation has being made to the Muslim community of Jang a farming community in the Nadowli-Kaleo district on Sunday.

The DCE said the donation was in fulfillment of a promised made to the Muslim community during the Edul Fitr prayers when she joined the community to worship.

In 2017 the DCE worshiped with Muslims in Nadowli, in 2018 she worshiped with the people of Sankana for the Edul-Adha and prayed with Muslims of Jang for the Edul-Fitr.

The DCE admonished Muslims of Jang to be guided by peace in all their endeavors, whiles calling on the youth to do away with situations that could trigger violence.

She said the Muslim religion extols the virtues of peace, which is also crucial to national development.

The DCE also advised them to send their children to school because now education is free and every Ghanaian child must be in school
The DCE also used the opportunity to educate the Muslim Umah on the Government educational new policy Double Track system. She said the new system is expected to tackle the infrastructure deficit that has hit the Free Senior High School programme since its inception in 2017.

The objectives of the double-track system are to create room to accommodate the increase in enrollment, reduce class size, increase contact hours, and increase the number of holidays, the DCE has said.

He said because many parents cannot finance extra tuition for their wards, internet fraud, teenage pregnancy among others are likely to be on the ascendency during the long vacations.

On tax, the DCE said increasing the amount of tax collected in the district is crucial for development. She said tax revenue has a wide array of benefits: spurring infrastructure, strengthening the social contract, and encouraging good governance.

Madam Katherine encourages the Mulism Umah to pay their taxes for the district to develop.
Jang Naa,Naa Alhassan Musah Kanchiihee Gogoo ii, who received the items on behalf of the Muslim Umah, thanked the DCE and called on Muslims to bury their differences and unite to help build the nation.

Naa Alhassan said this is the first time such a donation has being made in the community and called on the community members to put into good use the speakers donated to them.

Prayers were later said for the DCE and the Assembly for peace and prosperity.
