Rotary International is to construct 20 boreholes in some selected communities in the Techiman North District. In addition, it will rehabilitate 20 hand pumps that have broken down.

Rotary International has presented some hospital equipment to the Tuobodom Health Centre to promote health care delivery.

These were announced by Mr Anthony Kwaku Manu, Techiman North Distirct Chief Executive, at the first ordinary meeting of the Assembly at Tuobodom.

He commended Rotary International for its efforts to improve the living standards of the people, and urged other organizations to emulate it.

Mr Manu said International Development Agency (IDA) is assisting the Community Water and Sanitation Agency (GWSA) to construct 14 mechanized boreholes in 11 communities to operate on solar energy.

On revenue mobilization, he said about GHS116, 075 representing 22 per cent of its estimated revenue was collected during the first quarter of this year, for its internally generated funds.

Mr Amoako Attah Fosu, presiding member, commended the Assembly members for their unity and co-operation towards its deliberations and activities.

He urged heads of departments and other stakeholders in the district to work hard to contribute to the efficient and effective development in the district.
