Several roads left unattended for some period now in the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba district have recently received some facelift as part of ways to improve the road network in the district.

The assembly lately undertook reshaping of a number of feeder roads located in the district to ostensibly reduce the stress encountered by drivers in plying such roads in the area.

The District Chief Executive who highlighted this in an address delivered at a recent assembly meeting revealed that all four stretches earmarked earlier to receive improvement under this move have duly been completed except one which is nearing completion.

The completed ones included Yipala-Bobalnyori, Goyiri-Gbelpei and Tuna-Konfali roads.

However, the Kanchen-Menekou stretch of road is seriously in progress, as contractors assigned to implement the reshaping of that particular road are on site busily discharging the project.

The roads were all powered through the District Assembly Common Fund( DACF).
