(AKOTO) ELLEMBELLE : FM station fetes over 500 children in Ellembelle district

Ankobra FM, a private radio station based at Axim in the Nzema-East Municipality, has held its 3rd annual children’s party at Akoto in the Ellembelle district as part of its corporate social responsibility.

Ankobra FM, a private radio station based at Axim in the Nzema-East Municipality, has held its 3rd annual children’s party at Akoto in the Ellembelle district as part of its corporate social responsibility.
   
Over 500 children between the ages of 5 and 15 from the Ellembelle district were entertained to food and drinks, poetry recitals and merry-making.
   
It was organised by the FM station and sponsored by the Deputy Minister for Energy and MP for Ellembelle, Hon. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, in collabration with Mobile Telecommunication Network (MTN).
 
In attendance were the MP for Jomoro, Hon. Samia Yaaba Nkrumah, the former MP for Evalue-Gwira and Director of  Ankobra FM, Mr. Kojo Armah, and the DCE for Ellembelle, Hon. Daniel Eshun.

In a speech, Hon. Buah thanked Ankobra FM for organising the party to bring smiles on the faces of children in the area, and advised the children to let Dr. Kwame Nkrumah be their role model by pursuing education to the highest level.
 
The MP assured the children of his preparedness to lend the required support to needy but brilliant school children from his share of the Assemblies common fund.

For her part, Miss Samia Nkrumah  expressed gratitude to the radio station  for  their role in the development of the Nzema area, and asked the people  to live in  unity  and  peace to  accelerate the development.

Mr Kojo  Armah said the radio station would continue to partner government in the development of the Nzema area and the entire Western Region.
