TOLON/KUMBUNGU : Rural bank donates towards Farmer’s Day celebration

The Bonzali Rural Bank with its headquarters in Kumbungu in the Tolon/Kumbungu District and five branches in other parts of the northern region has donated 20 bicycles valued at GHc3, 200 towards the 25th National Farmer’s Day celebration scheduled for Friday December 4, in Tamale.

The Bonzali Rural Bank with its headquarters in Kumbungu in the Tolon/Kumbungu District and five branches in other parts of the northern region has donated 20 bicycles valued at GHc3, 200 towards the 25th National Farmer’s Day celebration scheduled for Friday December 4, in Tamale.

The Supervising Manager of the Bank, Mr. Mike Tizaayel who presented the bicycles to the Deputy Northern Regional Minister, Mr. Moses Bukari Magbenba in Tamale said the donation formed part of the bank’s social responsibility towards the celebration of the silver jubilee celebration of the Day.

Mr. Tizaayel said the bank has been making similar donations to its customers annually in its operational areas and expressed appreciation to be associated with the Day.

Mr. Magbenba who is also the Regional Chairman of the Planning Committee of the Farmer’s Day expressed gratitude to the bank for the donation.

He said it would cushion government in its efforts at supporting farmers and called on benevolent organisations to emulate the kind gesture.
