GOMOA E: DCE delighted over support from Assembly members

The District Chief Executive (DCE) of Gomoa East in the Central Region, Mr Solomon Darko-Quam, has expressed his delight over the unflinching support accorded him by Assembly members since his assumption of office some months ago.

The DCE also ceased the opportunity to expressed gratitude to them for their overwhelming endorsement during his confirmation by the assembly.

Mr Darko-Quam was speaking at the first Assembly meeting at Afransi, the district capital yesterday.

In his keynote address, the DCE passionately appealed to the members to bear with the assembly and for that matter the government, as it plans to put the district hospital in good shape to help enhance health delivery in the area.

He added that, the assembly was further making plans to improve on its finances, education and some key government flagship programme such as the One District, One Factory (1D1F), Planting for Food and Jobs (PFJ), ‘free SHS’ among other.

He said the Assembly was also liaising and collaborating with the appropriate agencies and departments to help mitigate the challenges associated with teenage pregnancies, and child labour in the area.

Touching on revenue mobilization, he also revealed that said the assembly was making frantic provisions in giving allowances to revenue collectors who will excel in their collections.
