Shama Assembly directed to produce counterfoil receipts within two weeks
Chairman of the Public Account Committee (PAC) of Parliament, Dr James Klutse Avedzi has given the Shama District Assembly officials two weeks ultimatum to provide fifteen General counterfoil receipts for revenue collected or be surcharged for the amount lost.

The Assembly was cited in the 2015 Auditor General’s report for failing to account for 32 General Counterfoil receipts issued for revenue collected by private firms for the Assembly.
Officials of the Shama Assembly only indicated that they had been able to recover 17 receipts covering the revenue collected.
