AWA in discussion to operate night flight to Tamale - Richard Kyereh
Head of Commercial at Africa World Airlines (AWA), Richard Kyereh has said they are in discussion with authorities to see if they can operate evening flight to Tamale beyond the traditional operating time.

According to head of commercial at AWA with the demand and increase in their operation domestically, the little challenge at the airport is that it opens at six in the morning (6:00am) and closes at six in the evening (6:00pm) and flies four times a week currently to Tamale.

In an interview he indicated that with the domestic flights, with a population of twenty eight million Ghanaians less than two percent travel by air, adding since December last year they have introduced a “wow Wednesday” concept to give low air fares.

He further added that as a way of saying thank you to the flying public a ticket from Accra to Kumasi is forty-nine (GHS 49) Ghana cedis, Accra to Tarkoradi is seventy-nine Ghana cedis (GHS79) and ninety-nine Ghana cedis (GHS99) from Accra to Tamale.



We are serving Ghanaians with the best on time service as well as safety we were able to hit a single day flight record of flying two thousand passengers a day a mile stone chalked last year, he said.

Again Tarkoradi flight which started on a humble note, a daily flight, three times daily in the course of the year we are going to commence four flights daily to Tarkoradi.

In addition we should be able to fly from Accra to Kumasi averagely close to eight flight a day he pointed out in an interview.
