DCE pleads for more police stations
The District Chief Executive of the Bosome Freho in the Ashanti region, Mr Yaw Danso is appealing to the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Regional commander of Police and Government to come to their aid to increase the number of police stations in the district.

With over 60 thousand population, the DCE said only Asiwa, the district capital has a police station, a situation that makes the fight against crime very difficult. The situation also served as disincentive to people reporting cases to the police because they have to travel long distances to get to the police station.

He mentioned communities with urgent need of police stations to include Cepgeso and Nsuta No.2.

Creation of police station in these areas will significantly help reduce the rate of crime in the district.

In other development, Mr.Danso assured that the district assembly will seriously implement government flagship programmes and policies aimed at economic growth and improvement in the lives of the people. “The district assembly has targeted to ensure the full implementation of all programmes and policies for aggressive industrialization and value addition”, he stated.
