Sene East Assembly supports Persons with Disabilities
The Sene East District Assembly through the department of Social Welfare and Community Development has disbursed the 3% share of the common fund meant for people living with disabilities.

The disbursement is in the form of distribution of corn grinding machines, sewing machines, deep freezers, disabled bicycles and cash.

The District Chief Executive, G.J. Gyimah, who on behalf of the Assembly and the department of social welfare and community development did the presentation, noted that the government intends to sustain such support programmes to mitigate the vulnerability PWD's face in society to improve their livelihood. 

He admonished them to desist complaining of not having jobs but rather acknowledge the support given by the government and put them to worthy use to better their lives.

Beneficiaries were advised to be ambitious, steadfast and patient to grow their business successfully to be able to cater for their families.

Mr. Majise Zack, the Sene East District director of social welfare and community development also made it clear in his address that his outfit will follow suit to make sure all disbursed items are put into good use to help improve their standard of living.

Some of the beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the government and the Sene East District Assembly.
