The DCE was enthused when he witnessed the harvesting of the tilapia by way of aquaculture in the community and gave words of encouragement to the members to take aquaculture seriously.

According to him, aquaculture has huge potential in the area and when harnessed can help reduce poverty among the people.

He said with government’s policy of "one village one dam" initiative which would be implemented soon, there is going to be more avenue to ensure more people get into this kind of business that would help reduce poverty drastically.

He said government has a number of economic policy targeted at the poor including the planting for food and job initiative that is aimed at ensuring food security and creating jobs. He has thus encouraged the people to take full advantage of these policies when they are finally implemented.

Also present during the visit was the Eremon Naa and his subjects and an NGO that support and facilitate the project.
