This follows the Assembly’s decision to build a new classroom block for the school to replace the existing one.

Speaking with Ghanadistricts.com, the Municipal Chief Executive, Drissa Outtara said the level of destruction compelled the assembly to move in quickly to replace the existing block that was affected by the rainstorm.

He said the 6-unit block which is currently at the foundation level would also come with staff common room, 6-seater toilet facility and urinal.

Other schools like SDA School, and Kosane Primary which suffered similarly devastation however have their structures renovated. The SDA School has the entire roofing replaced, while renovation on the 3-unit classroom for Kosane is ongoing.

According to him, it is their quest to provide suitable teaching and learning environment for effective academic works and that has been their focus, adding, the Assembly would continue to offer the needed interventions to education since human resource development is crucial to reducing poverty.
