Ejura: MCE and Sekyedumasehene commissioned ultra-modern community centre
A multi-purpose community centre has been commissioned for the chiefs and people of Sekyedumase in the Ejura Sekyedumase Municipality.

The facility which was funded by District Assembly’s Common Fund (DACF) has a spacious durbar grounds, library rooms and I THINK Centre, and it is also intended to enhance and promote ICT learning and also foster social gathering in the community.

According to the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the area, Alhaji Mohammed Salisu Bamba in his address said that the project started during the former President John Agyekum Kufuor’s regime and has been abandoned over the years when the NPP government left office, adding that he thought it wise to complete the project which is currently the biggest in the Ashanti Region.



The MCE stated that the project was in collaboration with Helping Aid Africa Foundation, USA and Yamoransa Foundation, USA led by Mr. Japhet Ayiku and Dr. Deborah Rose respectively.



Mr. Salisu Bamba expressed his appreciation for the role of traditional authorities in the development of the country and also promised to ensure that such abandoned projects would be completed.



Nana Antwi Boasiako 1, Sekyedumasehene in his address called on all the youth in the municipality to make adequate use of the facility to help upgrade their educational standard and make meaningful lives for themselves.
