Daffiama Assembly donates furniture to schools

The District Chief Executive of Daffiama Bussie Issa Districts Assembly, Mr Nadi Imoro Sanda has handed over 500 dual desks and 20 teacher's tables to the District Directorate of Education and her entire team in the Daffiama Bussie Issa District Assembly for fair distribution to schools in the district.

This initiative is in response to meeting the needs of schools particularly those faced with inadequate furniture supply.

Speaking with Ghanadistricts.com, the DCE said, this to him, is necessary for the Assembly to donate the furniture due to the numerous calls by community members and educational authorities during his tour of communities under his jurisdiction.

He said the desire of government is to ensure that quality education is provided to all children of school going age.

Mr Sanda tasked managers of the schools to exhibit good maintenance culture and ensure the furniture is used for its intended purpose and advised the pupils to take their studies serious to become the country’s desired future leaders.

He pledged the assembly’s willingness to commit more of its resources in providing facilities such as school infrastructure, uniforms, motivational package for teachers, and teaching and learning materials to ensure quality human resource is put together for the nation’s development.
